The Compassionate Talk Therapy Experience

CTT was founded to address the common themes that emerged from our team's decades of experience working with clients from various backgrounds and experiences. Despite their unique challenges, a common message emerged: "I am not good enough. I should be doing something else or being someone else." If this resonates with you, know that you are not alone and that compassion and growth are innate qualities within you.

Our mission is to walk alongside you as you trust yourself to understand your emotions, values, and take the next steps towards empowerment. Our therapists use a variety of modalities tailored to your unique needs, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy and Trauma-Focused CBT.

We understand that everyone can benefit from additional support, so we will work with you to create a plan that is ideal for you. Please don't hesitate to call or email us to learn more!

Hi, I'm Sabrina, a clinical social worker, here to support you on your journey to recovery and positive change. My education from Adelphi University encompasses various therapy modalities such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I believe in an integrative approach to recovery that's tailored to each individual.

I'm inspired by my clients who take brave steps towards healing and am honored to offer support and guidance. I approach therapy as a collaboration to connect with a client's inner wisdom and empower them to make choices that align with their values. My non-judgmental approach creates a safe, trusting environment where clients can feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and feelings. By tapping into your inner guidance, we will work together to sustain lasting changes in your life.

What clients say about working with Sabrina:

"I highly recommend working with Sabrina - she has been such a supportive, empathetic force for me for a few years now. I look forward to our appointments because I know I'll learn something new!"

Roxanne Henry

LMSW

she/her

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) whose approach is rooted in the belief that therapy is a collaborative experience between therapist and client. A graduate of University of Maryland School of Social Work, I have worked with individuals and families who face various mental health experiences, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bi-polar, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as well those who are experiencing life transitions or feelings of stagnation.

Methods and interventions include tenets of trauma informed therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing and mindfulness. I work to honor the varied life experiences of each client or familial group, including their culture, specified identity, life joys and interests. In our session expect a collaborative, warm and welcoming environment where your strengths will be honored and you can feel safe and supported to explore your feelings and emotions.

As a certified yoga instructor, Reiki practitioner and trained herbalist I believe in the connection between the mind and the body and the way in which the alignment of both can allow for more balance in one’s life. However, before that is even possible, honoring where you are and your experiences is important. With all that can occur in one’s life, having a safe space where you are heard, without judgment, can be helpful to assist you in moving forward in a more empowered way.

What clients say about working with Roxanne:

"Roxanne has been a big help to me since I began talk therapy. I’m able to speak about anything and everything, able to process and understand certain aspects of my personal experience that I thought too difficult to even think about. I am so glad I reached out. I know in the future I will continue to find ways to heal emotionally, mentally and physically."

Michael Mailloux

LMSW, IFS Therapist

he/him

I am a Licensed Social Worker in New York and New Jersey, graduated from Fordham University where I earned my master’s degree in social work, and am currently a doctoral student. I am passionate about helping my clients get to know and navigate their inner world. I work with individuals who have struggled with addiction, anxiety, depression, and trauma. In addition, I enjoy couples work, focusing on communication, negative patterns in relational conflict, and issues of infidelity.

I am a 15-year Navy Veteran which contributes to my ability to be compassionate and understanding of PTSD and trauma symptoms. I am a Level 3 trained Internal Family Systems (IFS) clinician who trained directly with Richard Schwartz, the creator of the IFS modality. I also participate as a Program Assistant in IFS trainings, helping other therapists to learn and implement the model.  I have advanced training in Intimacy from The Inside Out (IFIO), a couple’s approach to IFS therapy. I am currently being trained in Terry Real’s Relational Life Therapy and look forward to learning and growing with my clients.

What clients say about working with Michael:

"I was looking for an IFS specialized therapist and I'm so glad that I found Michael.  Not only is he a TRUE EXPERT in IFS, but he's also a compassionate person who I feel really relates to me.  I strongly recommend him and am grateful for the work we are doing together."
